When I listen to Doug, he is like a beam of light coming through the phone and I love being in his presence. :) - Cori from Fort Collins, CO
The Happy Healthy Wealthy Game increased my awareness exponentially! I am now able to hold myself and others in my life more accountable. I also see the value of taking small steps to achieve whatever goals I want to achieve. - Laurie Cohn
“It's everything you thought but even more. The game is fabulous. It makes your production go up while you are still enjoying your life. You will be definitely happy, healthy, and wealthy by the end of the game. It will stay with you forever.” - Sheri Wegand
I am able to stay focused, centered, and eliminate negativity from my environment. I spend less time and energy on the negative (beating myself up) and more time following through. I want to play the game again! I believe there is a real need in this company for this program.
- Paul Shipley
A note to any folks considering the HHW Game:
I’m a musician and former closet-songwriter. For years I talked about writing some new songs and recording my CD. But for various reasons—most of them internal—I never got around to it. Then along came Doug Miller and the Happy, Healthy, Wealthy Game. Now, after playing the game twice, I’ve written 3 new tunes and I’m working on four more. And, oh yeah, I almost forgot: The CD’s called Johnny’s Fresh Produce and it kicks ass! Pick up your copy from www.ahhaproductions.com - Johnny Vanderlip

Productivity Guru David Allen

I was leading a bonus call during a Happy Healthy Wealthy Game last week and everyone on the call wanted to know more about organizing their time and their stuff. Overwhelm seems to be more and more a topic that people want support around. Well, I have some amazing info that has served me tremendously over the years.
I am a huge fan of David Allen's workshops and his book Getting Things Done
. I have taken his two day workshop three times over the years. And I am planning on taking it again this year! Every time I do, my systems get cleaner and I watch my productivity skyrocket.
Also, about 10 years ago, I was trained by his company to do "Personal Information Management" coaching. It is an amazing process of having someone sit by your side as you unearth every single action that is incomplete out of your life and put it into a trusted system.
At any rate, I don't usually rave about people, but I just listened to some of his podcasts today and thought you would enjoy them. CLICK HERE to go to his site and download them.
Make sure you check out his free stuff in the products part of his site.
I was thinking about creating a "Book Club" around his book. It would be really simple. We all get the book, read it a chapter at a time and hop on an open tele-conference to discuss it. Leave a comment on this blog by clicking on "Comment" below and let me know if you would be interested.
Until we connect again, create a Happy Healthy Wealthy day,
Doug Miller
PS: Have you downloaded the interview Neal Littlejohn yet. Fill your name and email in the space above on the right and we will send you the details.

Peace of Mind Part 3

I was surfing on David Allen's website the other day and found this amazing video (CLICK HERE). It inspired me to make the "Weekly Review" process of my action and task management system a priority.
Remember this fact, if your mind doesn't trust your task management system, then your mind will continue to remind you itself. Thus creating overwhelm and stress. Why? Because it tends to remind you of actions when you can't do anything about them.
For example, have you ever been sitting in a meeting when you remember that you need to get more cereal at the store. A more effective system would remind you to get cereal when you are standing in the store not sitting in a meeting.
So, here's the link for the page where the video is embedded. (CLICK HERE) Take a quick peek at it and let me know what you think.

What are you willing to give up to be Happy Health and Wealthy?
8:40 PM, Posted by Doug Miller, No Comment
My coach asked me a question this year that has been rattling through my head ever since.
"Are you willing to give up your life for your goals?"
My gut response, "NO WAY!" My life is why I set the goals in the first place. I don't want to give it up. Why would I do that?
I could feel him smiling in silence on the other end of the phone.
The reality slowly set in.
He said, "If you are not willing to give up your life, then your goals won't happen."
Ouch. How could that be?
Well, this is what I have come to understand about my willingness to give up my life as it relates to my ability to achieve my goals.
1. If I am not willing to give up my life for my goals, then I am not willing to make room for my goals. Life is full and demanding and there is no room for anything else. Something has to go to make room for something else to be created.
2. If I am not willing to give up my life for my goals, then my goals just are not big enough. The bigger the reason or the why behind the goal, the more I am willing to give up.
3. If I am not willing to give up my life for my goals, then my goals are probably not authentic. They are probably NOT aligned more deeply with who I am than my current life. It is not worth giving up my current life to get more of the same current life.
4. If I am not willing to give up my life for my goals, then I may not have the ability to "take a risk" without putting myself "at risk." This topic is all about foundation which I will leave for another post.
As we enter the second quarter of the year, how are your goals? Are you clear? Are you willing to give up your current life for them? It is time to reflect and revise your game plan for 2007.
