A New Mind Set while Paying Your Bills

9:49 AM, Posted by Doug Miller, No Comment

Here is a quick tip. Try this next time you sit down to pay your bills.

What are you grateful for that the company you are paying brought into your life?

Here are some examples:
- While paying your car lease/loan: Thank you car company for giving me amazing, convenient, comfortable and cool way to get from here to there.
- While paying your electric bill: Thank you electric company for the power to run my blender to make a really delicious protein shakes.
- While paying your electric bill: Thank you electric company for the power to run the light that allows my son to feel safe and secure throughout the night.
- While paying your DSL/cable bill: Thank you internet provider for providing me the opportunity to connect with millions of people around the world not to mention any information I want right at my finger tips. Thank you.
- While paying your gas bill: Thank you gas company for providing me the gas to heat my food.

You get the point. Gratitude and appreciation is one of the fastest ways to invoke the law of attraction. And as you probably know, what you hold uppermost in your mind you will tend to draw towards you. So, if you are stressed and overwhelmed during your bill paying process, then what are you attracting? Potentially more stress and overwhelm. In The Happy Healthy Wealthy Game we talk about moving from judgment to acceptance and then into appreciation. Understanding these 3 levels of consciousness is key to creating the mind set to be happy, healthy, and wealthy.

End Stress & Overwhelm

Our brains operate just like computers. What happens when you open up too many programs on your computer? The first thing that happens is that your computer slows down. Then eventually your computer freezes. I call it the "Blue Screen of Death."

The brain acts exactly the same way! As we increase the amount of information, actions, goals, projects, volunteering, relationships, etc. in our lives, it is just like opening up too many programs on your computer. What happens first? You slow down. What does that look like for you? Does it take more time to complete activities? Is it easier to get distracted? Is it harder to focus? And off we spin into overwhelm, confusion, and stress.

And then we FREEZE! Just like a computer we shut down, lock up, freeze, and get our personal version of the "Blue Screen of Death." Each of us have has our version of "freezing." In The Happy Healthy Wealthy Game we suggest players make a list of all the ways in which they "freeze" in their life. Just by making this list, you will start to notice the ways in which you "freeze." This is really powerful because now you can do something about it much faster. Raising awareness is the first step to making any change. Another way of saying this is that when you are sick and tired of feeling sick and tired you will make a change.

So, what is on you list? Here are a few to get you started: TV, internet surfing, movies, happy hour, exercise, phone calls, books, cleaning, shopping, etc. What are your top 3 freeze activities that trip you up and pull you off course?

Click on "Comment" below and share your top three. Going public with them will assist you in overcoming them. It will also serve others that are so frozen, they can not even see their "blue screen of death." How could they, their mind is for all practical purposes out of business.

The Attractor Factor Steps - Another List

Joe Vitale from the hit movie "The Secret" has an awesome book that is based on the law of attraction called "The Attractor Factor." Here are the five steps he recommends in the book to attract anything you want:

1. Know what you don't want.
2. Select what you do want.
3. Clear all negative or limiting beliefs.
4. Feel what it would be like to have, do, be what you want.
5. Let go as you act on your intuitive impulses, and allow the results to manifest.

Try it out and watch what happens.

Questions to Ask Yourself when Cleaning, Clearing Clutter, and Simplifing Your Life

The manager of an awesome real estate office in Laguna Niguel begged me to come down and tell her team about The Happy Healthy Wealthy Game during their sales meeting this past week.

While I was down there, they were talking about an entire office spring cleaning day. It was a day where everyone was going to clear out all the clutter, clean, and clear up all the stale old stuff hanging around.

First of all, this is an amazing environment to create! Imagine everyone in your office focused on cleaning up at the same time. It would make a huge difference given how much we are effected by our environments - in this case the people around us.

But it got me thinking! Most people have NO IDEA how to eliminate, clear clutter, and let go of things. So, I dug some material out of one of the lessons in The Happy Healthy Wealthy Game. The lesson is called "Elimination and Simplification." Here are the 3 best questions to ask yourself when eliminating, clearing clutter, and letting go of stuff:

1. When was the last time I used this? Has it been more then six months?

2. If I needed it again, could I get another one?

3. Does this inspire me or drain me? Does it give me energy or take energy?

You can print these questions out on a really cool reminder sheet. Having it handy when you are cleaning can be a huge support. It never ceases to amaze me how my brain shuts down and seems to stop working effectively when I am clearing clutter. CLICK HERE and print this out. You may even want to post it up in your office space or home as a good reminder!

What I find happening for a lot of players in The Happy Healthy Wealthy Game is that they set a really great goal but then don't have the time or space in their life to take the action needed to reach the goal. Elimination and simplification is a key to focus. And you probably already know how important focus is for invoking the law of attraction.

Ten Steps to Personal Success

This is the week of lists that inspire. Check out this one! It is awesome...

Here is powerful list for you to consider. It comes from the book Wealth and Higher Consciousness by John-Roger.

1. Focus on what you want, what you're really interested in.
2. Use your creative imagination. Visualize what you want.
3. Have enthusiasm about what you want.
4. Have single mindedness of purpose. Know exactly what you want and let nothing distract you.
5. Desire your want above all else. Have no alternatives.
6. Have faith. Be involved, and take action toward getting what you want.
7. Do the work that is required. No excuses.
8. Give up all things opposing your goal. If something is opposed to your goal, go around it, over it, under it -- or remove it.
9. Claim that you have it. Pretend it's yours. Experience it as though you already have it.
10. Be grateful for what you have. And be loving. Loving is the key. If you can get into a consciousness of loving even before you do the first step, then your loving has a focus that empowers all the steps to come.
